Strawberry Syrup

The other morning I was making pancakes and thought they sounded boring....so I decided to make them strawberry and cream pancakes. Yummmm... So, I made plain pancakes, strawberry syrup and topped them with whipping cream. No longer are plain pancakes boring.

1 - 10oz. package frozen strawberries
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 C. sugar

Drain the strawberries, reserving the liquid. Add water to the reserved liquid to measure 1 cup. Combine sugar and cornstarch in saucepan. Gradually add liquid. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is clear and thickened. Stir in strawberries.
